About Wilbur D. May Center
The Wilbur D. May Museum at Rancho San Rafael Park houses the collection of adventurer Wilbur D. May: Rancher, Pilot, Philanthropist, and traveler. Explore a wide variety of artifacts from all over the world including pieces of local ranching history, and guests can try their luck at our hand-made scavenger hunt (Good luck!) for a prize.
We also play host to special exhibits annually aimed towards kids. In the spring, families can enjoy interactive exhibits about everything from Dinos to toys to dragons, and more!

Very cool exhibits . Went with my daughter on a field trip and we had a good time. Gift shop has fair prices and lots of interesting stuff.

What a great collection of artifacts from around the world. The exhibits are very well maintained and laid out to provide adequate background about the collector and the collection.

The museum was super fun. I went for a field trip and we saw the Toytopia exhibit and the kids loved it! It had a lot of cool retro toys for the adults to look at and read about as well. Lots of fun interactive parts where kids could place with Legos and Mr. Potato Heads and more! The staff was pretty friendly. They seemed a little overwhelmed with 60 or so kindergarteners running around, but that is understandable. Will definitely come back with my kids at another time.

This place is amazing. The exhibits are so fun. The conservation section is various for such a small space. When you walk in it seems small but when you really explore you find that it’s very big with so many hidden rooms. Well worth a visit

Dragon Lights are amazing! Nice little walk to see displays & watch the children & adults smile in awe of it! The only bad part was the parking.
